AUDREY MARTIN

Director of Affordable Housing Development

 

Audrey Martin joined Realtex Development Corporation in December 2010 in the capacity of Development Manager and in January 2012 became the Director of Affordable Housing Development. Audrey has responsibility and oversight over all aspects of the development process for Realtex’s affordable housing pipeline including strategic planning, site acquisition, financial analysis, deal structuring, and securing housing tax credits and other financing sources.  

 

Audrey has worked in the affordable housing industry for eight years, and prior to joining Realtex, spent five years at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (“TDHCA”). While at TDHCA, Audrey gained wide ranging experience in multiple aspects of the housing tax credit program, as well as other state and federal funding programs such as the tax exempt mortgage revenue bond, HOME Investment Partnership, CDBG, NSP, and Housing Trust Fund programs. While at TDHCA, Audrey oversaw the state’s tax credit allocation process as the administrator of the 9% housing tax credit program. Ms. Martin also gained experience in back-end allocation activities in her role as the supervisor of the cost certification process. Most recently, Audrey served as the Manager of the Real Estate Analysis Division where she oversaw the underwriting of all developments recommended for financing from TDHCA, as well as the amendment and cost certification processes.

 

Audrey has a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and a minor in accounting from the University of Texas. She also has a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University.
