John Boyd, Vice President

Since 1983, John Boyd has carefully guided his career in real estate including sixteen years of senior management of several independent consulting firms, providing commercial appraisal, analysis, acquisition, market studies and portfolio assignments from Texas to California. The assignments, which were primarily for lenders and investors included detailed analysis of a wide variety of investment grade real estate such as master planned communities, office buildings, retail developments, industrial properties, and multifamily communities. John also assumed responsibilities as broker and consultant in various types of commercial real estate and eventually specialized in multifamily properties with a focus on affordable housing communities. Through this period, experience was also gained in the physical plant by conducting and reviewing construction jobs to include rehabilitation as well as new construction. All of this experience has served as a strong multifaceted foundation in real estate investment practices.
John next achieved senior developer status with a national multi-family affordable housing development firm and later with one of the top assisted living developer/owners in the country. There he negotiated site acquisition, conducted due diligence and market feasibility studies, coordinated all facets of design and construction and assumed budgetary management at the senior level of the Development and Construction department while also serving as Vice President of the company’s brokerage and acquisition subsidiary.
Since 1998, John has served as Vice President of Realtex with direct supervisory and budgetary responsibilities, including design, development, construction, management, accounting, personnel and administrative functions. John has been involved in every aspect of every Realtex deal, providing the foundation for Realtex’s growth and success.
