AP Clerk/HR Administrator
Laurie Husbands joined Realtex in September of 2014 as Assistant Project Coordinator. In December of 2015, she was quickly promoted to Project Manager after demonstrating her dedication and superiority in her work production. Her primary responsibilities were encompass daily oversight of all construction related aspects to projects constructed. This included project planning, cost control, scheduling, leadership and direction of field personnel, and project administration. After working closely with our accounting staff over several months, she transferred departments and is now our Accounting Clerk/HR Administrator.
She brings with her construction industry experience that began at the early age of 10 years old. Ms. Husbands shared the summers with her Grandfather who owns E & E Construction in Southeast Texas. Through this period of work, she gained valuable industry knowledge and the learned the necessities in running his small business. Thereafter, Laurie was employed with The University of Texas. Her thirst for knowledge and work ethic allowed her to progress from Accounting Assistant to Accounting Clerk III in just 8 years. Laurie has earned several certifications through UT’s continuing education program. Prior to Realtex, Laurie gained experience in the field of Civil Engineering where she worked as an Independent Contractor processing data and transcribing notes for a Bridge Inspector.
